Points system simplified by NASCAR for all three National Series: winning driver gets 43 points, 2nd gets 42pts, down to 43rd, which gets one pt. Winner gets 3 bonus pts, lap leaders get one pt, driver who leads most laps gets a bonus pt, so a winning driver can max out at 48 pts. If a driver is not running for a championship in that series, they do not collect points [owners will still gets pts], no word how owners pts are awarded to teams who fail to make the race…yet

In January 2010, Race Party Decorations, LLC moved their main office to High Point, NC but has continued to warehouse their entire inventory and ship from Corona, CA.

2011 Nascar Season

As we approach the new season of NASCAR I’m sure there are a lot of NASCAR fans around the world wondering if anyone other than Jimmie Johnson will win the Sprint Cup Championship this year. The man is awesome, the team is awesome and they have done something no NASCAR team has done before, but I think most of us NASCAR fans want to see a change in this years Champion, (OK, maybe not Jimmie Johnson fans), but the rest of us want to see a different driver win the Sprint Cup Championship in 2011.

With the racing season only a few weeks away I know many of you die hard fans are already planning Daytona 500 race viewing parties. July 29, 2007 Brickyard Race

Wow, what a great race! The flags where flying high outside of the Press Box in Anaheim, California where the Southern California chapters of The Official Nascar Members Club all gathered this week for the viewing of the Nextel Cup Allstate 400 at the Brickyard. We had over 40 ONMC members and their friends attend this race viewing party. There were door prize drawing during each caution with several nice items given out to the winners of the door prize drawings. We had a “drivers pool” which cost $5.00 to pick a random driver, I just hate it when I get a driver I don’t like and won’t root for. The guests with the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place driver’s win cash and the lucky guest who’s holding the last place driver gets their $5.00 entry fee returned. It is so much fun to watch a friend cheering on a driver you know they just can’t stand….. when you look at them funny they turn to you and say “I have him in the pool”, you just have to laugh, cus you know you’d do the same thing.

Our next Southern California Chapters ONMC race viewing party will be held in 4 weeks on August 26, 2007 at Buffalo Wings and Things in Rancho Cucamonga, California hosted by our Rancho Cucamonga chapter. This last Sunday, July 15, 2007, our race party was at the Saddle Sore Saloon in Norco, California. We hosted this charity/fundraising event to raise money for The Victory Junction Gang Camp, a camp in North Carolina for kids with serious illnesses. Our fund raiser was a big success, plus we all had fun watching the NASCAR race together. We decorated the Saddle Sore Saloon with many black & white checkered decorations that we got from http://www.nascarpartydecorations.com, everyone loved the decorations.

There is no NASCAR race this next weekend so our next race party will be on July 29th, 2007 in Anaheim, Ca. at The Press Box.
